This section of pavement sits right above a storm drain line, which means we likely have a broken joint in the drain line. The line is pretty big, I think it’s at least a 60-inch RCP, maybe even bigger than that. Does Public Works have any equipment to TV that line, would you even recommend we do that? We need to get this fixed. I expect the fix will include saw-cutting and removing a section of asphalt, digging down to the line and patching the joint, filling back over the line, and finally replacing the asphalt. Unfortunately, the hole is on the runway side of the holding position markings, but we can deal with that by issuing appropriate NOTAMs and providing escorts for contractors. The main question is how do we want to proceed towards getting this repaired? Joel
