           Frank McIllwain came by yesterday, and we had a discussion regarding the Fugro report and the RDD data and Garver’s discussions with TX-DOT (Ed Oshinski) on what it all means.
 I will probably get the draft PER between Christmas and New Year’s; you and Mark should also get copies at that time, we can have a couple days to look them over, and then Garver would
like to come in and walk us through the report, providing emphasis on the things they view as important or potentially controversial.  I think that sounds like a real good idea, and
I hope we could do that before meeting with FAA on the 8th, although I guess that would not be strictly necessary.  Frank indicated he will be in touch.

 

           I will be out of town beginning tomorrow and returning late on the 24th, with limited access to e-mail, but I will be in the week after Christmas.

 

           One thing I would like to convey to FAA and TX-DOT is that once we are finished with the runway improvements (including the lighting upgrades and EMAS) we are nowhere closed
to being finished with everything we need to do here … I want them to have it in their heads that we are expecting $2 million to $3 million in grant funding every year, at a minimum
… more for bigger projects.  This airport – for whatever reason – has been passed over for too long when it comes to grant funding.

Our anticipated agenda includes an update regarding the design of the airport projects, and anticipated bidding and construction and its hopeful coordination with Super Bowl.   Joel
-  Do you think we will have the results of the geotechnical report by then?
