Scott, First of all, thank you to you and Mr. Fulton and Mr. Nicely for taking the time to come and visit Addison. We very much appreciated having the opportunity to show you the airport and tell you our story. The Town is justly proud of their Airport and very much committed to its future. We have not started the process with Letters of Intent on additional projects yet. Truthfully, we have been so focused on the runway rehabilitation and the attendant lighting, signage, and drainage upgrades that we have only recently begun to look much beyond that. Also, we only recently obtained the results from the RDD testing that was done on Taxiway Alpha which suggest that Alpha is perhaps in much worse condition than we thought. We knew we were going to need an overlay soon, but we did not anticipate that some full-depth reconstruction or repairs might be necessary as well. The continued occurrence of pilot deviations (particularly at the Juliet and Kilo intersections) has also pushed up our priority for Runway Guard Lights; with all the efforts we have put towards curbing runway incursions here, we are both frustrated and very concerned that they continue to occur. That may also place a higher priority on our perimeter security / access controls project, as putting tighter controls on access to the airfield is at least as much a safety issue as it is one of security. We will need to have some internal discussions on our projects and priorities, and then we will work with Daniel on putting them into our CIP Plan. As we said in the meeting, we very much appreciate Daniel and how well he has worked with us on our CIP. Thank you again for your visit and the opportunity to show you our airport and discuss our projects. You are certainly running a good airport at Addison; very impressive. I will pass your products off to Daniel and give him our notes. I forgot to mention while we were there that if you don't already have Letters of Interest for the desired projects not currently in the CIP, we'll need those asap to start our process. (You may have already done that, but I haven't checked since Daniel is out of town) Sorry Daniel couldn't make the visit, but we'll make sure he has the opportunity to come see you as required. Best to you and thanks for hosting our visit, Scott =========================== Don't Mess with Texas Some things you should keep to yourself... like trash. Learn more at www.dontmesswithtexas.org
