All, If time permits, I think it would be very helpful to give Mike Nicely and Dave Fulton a tour of the airport to show them what we have accomplished with their assistance (north RSA, fuel farm ramp reconstruction) and without their assistance (Taxiway Sierra reconstruction, Taxiway Romeo redevelopment / reconstruction) as well as the many projects still to be addressed (all of the runway work, as well as Taxiway Alpha grading and drainage, Taxiway Quebec / ramp areas, Taxiway Tango, etc.). I would like for them to see firsthand the progress we have made and how much more work still remains. My thought is that they need to get used to the idea that we need two or three million dollars per year every year, even after the runway and EMAS are all completed. We have plenty of work that is related to safety and preserving existing facilities, which are supposedly FAA’s top two criteria for funding projects. Do you know whether they will have time for a tour after we meet? Yes, we now have the results of the geotech. And we’re working on the cost estimates. I was out sick most of this week, so we’re a couple days behind right now. As discussed at our last meeting, we’ll submit the “draft” to the Town & Airport for a “first look” before we make the formal submittal to TxDOT. I’ll work out a date for that later today as I try to get caught up. Thanks. P. Please forward to anyone you think needs to attend. I responded that we could meet at either the Airport Offices or the Service Center. Our anticipated agenda includes an update regarding the design of the airport projects, and anticipated bidding and construction and its hopeful coordination with Super Bowl. Joel - Do you think we will have the results of the geotechnical report by then?
