Joel: 1) 8 to 10 borings @ 16-20 inches deep 2) Projected rate is 8 borings per night, so plan on two nights 3) Borings locations based on FWD will be available tomorrow. 4) I don’t know when the RDD data will be available – I’ll check on that in the morning. 5) Waiting until 9/28 will not endanger the schedule. I’ll work to schedule a FWD/RDD results review meeting with the Airport, Town, TxDOT and Garver for sometime between 9/17 – 9/22. I’ll talk with Fugro to finalize a date for the soil borings to be after the result review meeting, maybe prior to 9/28. __________ All: What dates/times are you not available between 9/17 / 9/22? How deep will they go? How long will it require to complete the borings? Was it not part of the plan to use both FWD and RDD data to determine the locations for boring? When will the RDD data be available? Will delaying the borings until 9/28 cause a slip in the schedule? My preference is to wait until 9/28 unless it really endangers the schedule. That gives us a little more time to notify tenants and work out details of closing the runway at times that are least disruptive to our operators. We were really scrambling on this one to accommodate the FWD and RDD testing. Also, I think it could be useful to look at the RDD data before going out to poke holes in the runway … that may show something that the FWD does not. If that’s doesn’t provided enough notice, they want to start runway borings on Monday (9/28). Do you want us to proceed with 9/14 or 9/28?
