I yield to airport operations and engineers. Just wanted to make certain everyone was aware of my concern. If that pair of 15-inch RCPs (I think that’s what we have under that western connector) is left in place, they do not have adequate capacity for the drainage runoff. So if they were to remain, the result would be ponding and slow drainage from points further east on the south side of Taxiway Victor. This would likely have negative effects on the Twy Victor pavement and possibly the ExecHangar Phase 1 project as well … as we all know, inadequate drainage has deleterious effects on pavements. Either we can have good drainage in that area, or we can have that connector remaining as-is. My personal opinion is that we are all better off having adequate drainage. If Phase 2 fails to materialize and we find we need access to what remains of the old City Ramp, we’ll just have to burn that bridge when we come to it. The Town may want to reconsider having them remove the furthermost westward connector at this time. ExecHangar has an option but not the obligation to construct Phase II, which requires the western third of the old ramp. Should for any reason ExecHangar elect not to exercise their option and the connector is removed, either we will loose the use of the remaining ramp or will have to reconstruct the connector at a later date at what I presume will be the airport’s expense. Thanks for giving it your consideration. Bill Dyer Real Estate Manager Addison Airport 972-392-4856
