Given the length of pipe to dewater, and depending on the size and/or number of pumps employed, it could take an hour or so to dewater the hole to allow for the installation. If scheduled to be done by 6:00 am, that should get the pipe re-loaded and water back on before the businesses open. David E. I would think a Sunday morning might have the least impact on the community in that part of Town. Do you have an estimate on how many hours the water will be shut off once the job starts? Gordon C. Robbins | Deputy Fire Chief | Fire Marshal Town of Addison | 4798 Airport Pkwy | Addison TX 75001 ofc 972.450.7220 | fax 972.450.7208 | grobbins@addisontx.gov http://www.addisontx.gov/departments/fire_dep/ -----Original Message----- From: David Wilde Sent: Tuesday, April 06, 2010 9:00 AM To: Gordon Robbins Cc: Clay Barnett; Jason Sutton; Cameron Cardwell; 'larrys@pciconstruction.com' Subject: Exechangar 4565 Claire Chennault Chief Robbins: The contractor for the referenced project, PCI, is anxious to make the water connection for the project as soon as possible. Installing the T and Valves will require shutting down the main line on Claire Chennault from Westgrove to the west end past Keith Products at 4554. They are willing to do the work at any time that would impact the fewest people – most likely either an early morning prior to business start-up, or an evening after businesses close for the day. How long do you need for lead-time notice for your forces, and for the water customers affected by this operation? Our Water Department is able to put up door hanger notices or we can make personal contact with the businesses, and that could be accomplished within 48 hours of the contractor giving us a firm date for the work. If you could give us a “Not Before” date, the contractor will be able to schedule his operation accordingly. Thank you. David E.
