Bruce, I have the 1E drawings sitting here and I don’t see a phasing plan in them anywhere. What drawing are you referring to that shows something different from the erosion control plan that I sent you? What drawing shows the NEW construction entrance somewhere other than on Bella? I am completely confused by your comments here. From: Bruce Dunne [mailto:bdunne@icon-engineers.com] Sent: Tuesday, February 15, 2011 4:12 PM To: Eric T. There are no construction phasing plans for the Bella Lane project. From: Eric T. If you would just send that to me like I've asked three times, I might understand what you are talking about. Everyone understands that our current entrance will have to go away at some point. Before that happens, we'll need to make sure Bella is wide enough for semi-truck access for material deliveries for 206 and other future projects. You can continue to use the existing construction entrance until such time that the construction on Bella Lane prevents you from crossing over the right-of-way. This could be several months from now. But at some time, that existing construction entrance is going to go away. From: Eric T. This entrance is too small and once Bella starts, we will have NO access to the site. As I stated in my first email below, if there is another drawing, I would love to see it. Then construction access will become an issue. From: Eric T. The conversations I’ve had with the town indicate that they have no issue with us keeping our current construction entrance and pulling the island on Vit Way back so we have access. NTC will be demo’ing the south lanes of Vit Way at the end of this month. We need to work this out before then. Thanks, Eric From: Eric T. Little Sent: Thursday, January 27, 2011 12:27 PM To: Bruce Dunne Cc: Tom Lamberth; Nick Jacob Subject: Vit Park - New Construction Entrance Bruce, Here is a copy of the drawing that Joel sent we that clearly shows the construction entrance moving to Bella Lane. This does not work for two reasons: 1. Bella is only 24’ wide – this is too narrow for our delivery trucks (especially the ped bridge delivery) to make the turn. 2. Once Bella goes under construction, we will lose this access point completely. If there is a different drawing, I don’t have it. I spoke to Roger again about this a few minutes ago and he reiterated that he has not had any conversations with anyone regarding moving the construction entrance from its current location. As I stated in the meeting today – Nick and I need to be kept in the loop on these things. We are out here every day and are in constant communication with ALL parties – NTC on the park, Austin/Halff on the bridges, Andres on the buildings and Tom Lamberth/ToA/UDR operations on everything. We have a better understanding of the big picture out here construction wise than anyone. We cannot do our jobs properly if we are continually cut out of the loop on discussions, especially ones as critical as access to the site. Thanks, Eric
