We have four agenda items scheduled for next Tuesday, Oct. 26th associated with the Spring Valley Road/ Vitruvian Way extension. The first is the bid award for Spring Valley / Vitruvian Way extension. The bids were oipened today at 2 pm. There were three eligible bidders. The apparent low bid was received from North Texas Contracting. Their total bid was $4,330,846.90. They were only $14,000 lower than the next low bidder. The engineers estimates were just slightly higher than the bids received. We estimate that UDR will need to write a check for a couple of hundred thousand for the Vitruvian Way extension. UDR also committed to contribute approximately $150,000 to the Spring Valley project. This was calculated as a result of DISD's direction that they would pay one-half of one section of Spring Valley and one-third of the remainder (this is the section UDR was approached about contributing one-third and where the $150,000 came from.. The second agenda item is for the dedication of right-of-way by UDR. Their attorney is currently reviewing the documents. The third agenda item is for the construction management of the virtuvian Way extension portion by UDR. This is typically taken to Council at the same time as project award. Another fourth agenda item that will be prepared for next Tuesday's meeting is a Discretionary Service Agreement with Oncor Electric to compensate them for adjustments to their facilities as part of the construction of Spring Valley and Vitruvian Way extension. Please let me know if you have any questions or comments. Thank you, Nancy
