Please handle…. If you need to ask Mitch and Brandon to make signs, that is ok. Please review. From: Eric T. Was also inspected and accepted by the Town. I'm not sure what exactly what I'm supposed to do to address this. Do we need to add signage to the 1C contract? We’ll work out and correct what we can, and let you know what we’ve done. I’ll forward your construction zone sign issues to our Engineering Division so they can have the contractor make any necessary modifications. Thanks for letting us know. Robin From: Jeff Sharp Sent: Wednesday, December 15, 2010 1:04 PM To: Robin Jones Cc: Phil Darnell; Larry Dwight Subject: Traffic enforcement signs Robin, We are having some issues with the school zone on Vitruvian and the road construction on Spring Valley. On Vitruvian there are several things preventing us from enforcing the school zone. (1) On the northbound side, there is no sign showing the end of the school zone. (2) There is a school zone sign on the overhead lights as you exit off of Ponte, but it does not have a time reference or speed limit. If you continue south from Ponte, there is no reference to a school zone or speed limit until you exit the school zone at Marsh. Immediately as you pass Ponte southbound you see a 30 mile an hour sign, which several violators have referred to. On Spring Valley there are several things preventing us from enforcing the school and/ or construction zone. (1) There is not a sign at either end of the construction zone that designates the end of the construction. (2) There are no signs stating fines double when workers are present. (3) There is no power to the school zone sign on the east end of the zone, which prevents the lights from flashing. While not required, it sure takes away from the attention it being a school zone along with the construction. I think these are the only issues I have found regarding enforcement in that area. If I need to look at some other things or we need to get together regarding this please let me know.
