Clay,

 

After looking at placing the telephone drop at the same location with the other project it appears it will require a bore under the school approach.  American requested a drop close
to the other end of the project which would have avoided the requirement for them to install the telephone conduit the entire length of Spring Valley.  They requested a change order
for this which we received as they were able to install with other irrigation trenching operations.  The only item of note is the bore under the existing approach since the Ratcliff
sleeves will not be a viable option.  I have asked them to price the work, but NTC is trying to see if we can secure a directional drill subcontractor to install the sleeve asap since
American has had trouble getting a sub to perform the bore.  We can probably install turnkey for $ 30 per foot or less, but wanted to let you know that we are moving forward with it.
 Having the items together is probably a good thing for the town and we have had nothing but trouble trying to secure our own drop much less at the other end of the project.  Let me
know if acceptable and we will formalize the price as soon as we know who is available.  Should be a very minimal amount of money as they have agreed to forfeit all costs for the conduit
and telephone wiring for the entire distance.  Thanks again.

The pay application is attached.  I had to make a couple of revisions:

1.       Item 1.154 – Reduced by 6.  I believe these were counted before Change Order 1.2 and we found that there were 34.  If there were indeed 40, then we will need to document it
and process another change order to add the other 6.

2.       Item 2.15 – Reduced by 2000.  The quantity in the original bid is 265, not 2265.  If there was an overage, then we need to get it documented and change ordered in.

 

If you do not have any objections, please execute the pay application and return for payment.  If you have any questions, please let me know.
