Lea, We plan to issue the Notice to Proceed just after the Pre-construction meeting on November 11th. The contractor anticipates submitting “submittals” for review next week and beginning construction on November 15th. Thank you, Nancy From: Lea Dunn Sent: Monday, November 01, 2010 4:35 PM To: Nancy Cline; Clay Barnett Cc: Alison Ream; John Hill; Tom Forrest Subject: RE: Nov. 9 Council meeting Nancy: I visited with John and he is preparing an agreement for the Nov. 9 Council meeting outlining UDR’s participation on Spring Valley. We’ll put that on consent. John’s also working on the row dedication. When is the notice to proceed being issued? The $83,537.53 should be $96,552.62. This is an increase of $13,015.09 for additional rebar. I apologize for leaving this amount out of the original email. Thanks, Clay Barnett, P.E. The unfunded portion is $315,700.13. The amount remaining in Phase 1E is $202,033.46. The contractor for the bridges submitted an additional change order request for $83,537.53. This would change the current amount for Change Order #1 on the bridges from $97,403.25 to $180,940.78. Alternatively, we could execute Change Order #1 in its current state and leave the remaining items for Change Order #2. $150,000 was awarded at council for overages on Phase 1D, but was not funded by UDR. Any expected expenditure over $150,000 would need to be taken back to Council. One solution would be to move $150,000 from Phase 1E to Phase 1D to cover the expected overages. This would result in $50,000 remaining for Phase 1E and match what the council awarded with the amount of funding available for Phase 1D. The overages on the park would still need to be addressed. Please let me know of any recommendations on this issue. Thanks, Clay Barnett, P.E. Also if we’re going to reallocate some of the funds for Phase 1E to 1C, it will require an amendment to Exhibit 1-C and D of the Master Facilities agreement. If you’re in agreement, I’d like to include that on the Nov. 9 meeting as well. Let me know if you have any issues with this approach.
