Clay, Let us take a look at this and we will be in touch soon. We have been spending a substantial amount of overtime and costs such as high early concrete to achieve the bonus so not getting it will cause us to take a hit. We will work it out and respond tomorrow. Little Subject: RE: Spring Valley Incentive Andy, There seems to be some confusion on how the days will be treated in regards to the incentive for the parallel parking along Vitruvian Way. Change Order 2.1 added 14 days to the contract for the parallel parking along Vitruvian Way. We had originally discussed a split schedule, but that was not clarified in the change order nor were there any guidelines given. Regardless, it was never the town’s intent to pay $3,000 per day for early completion of the parallel parking along Vitruvian Way. This should have been addressed in the change order, however we missed it. Therefore, we would like to propose a solution of reducing the incentive to $500 per day for the scope of Change Order 2.1 only. This is the same incentive that the Town is paying on Bella Lane. Early completion on the original contract and all change orders with the exception of Change Order 2.1 would still be paid at $3,000 per day amount stipulated in the contract. Please let me know if this is an acceptable solution for the problem or if you would like to discuss the issue, please give me a call. Thanks, Clay Barnett, P.E. Other than that, it all looks good. Don’t worry guys, that was a joke J Andy Nord Cell: 817.819.4117 Email: anord@ntexcon.com From: Barbier, Michael [mailto:mBarbier@Halff.com] Sent: Monday, June 06, 2011 10:43 AM To: Josh Hodsdon; Andy Nord Cc: Cline, Nancy S.; Barnett, Clay; Romanowski, Mike Subject: Spring Valley Incentive Good Morning, In the weekly project meeting on June 2nd, we discussed a clarification of special provision 22.1 for contractor incentive on Spring Valley Road. The provision states that the contractor must " Reach a level of substantial completion so that all proposed travel lanes are permanently open to the public no later than July 15th 2011." After discussion, this clarification was agreed upon. - All Spring Valley Road lanes shall be substantially complete and open to traffic to include all permanent paving, vehicular pavers, striping, signing, and driveways. - The intersection of Spring Valley and Vitruvian Way shall be in the final proposed configuration with at least one lane open to traffic in each direction on Vitruvian Way. - It is acceptable for the intersection to be in a non signalized four way stop controlled configuration for this deadline. The contractor shall maintain all necessary temporary traffic control devices to navigate the intersection until the signal is functional. - Completion of this requirement will be subject to inspection and approval by the Town of Addison. Please inform me of any changes or additions to this clarification before 8:00 AM Thursday June 9th 2011. Sincerely, Michael Barbier, P.E.
