Pipe supplier just called, and I told him C 900. From: Romanowski, Mike Sent: Wednesday, October 13, 2010 4:23 PM To: 'Bruce Dunne' Cc: Barnett, Clay Subject: RE: Spring Valley Questions Addendum 1 is out. Regarding #3, I don't see a cost impact if a plumber does it. Unless they hire the one that fixed my sink. Regarding #5, Irrigation is one LS, Already clear enough. Regarding #6, We didn't do any borings on the road, so there is nothing to provide. Regarding question number 1, the Town no longer requires the C-909, so I would suspect that C-905 is appropriate. Regarding question number 2, UDR is required to recycle all concrete and asphalt that is removed on Vitruvian Way, so we have no choice but to recycle on our portion. What you do on Spring Valley Road is up to you and the Town. Regarding number 4, no pavement improvements are shown for Bella Lane, just a rock construction entrance. I will let you handle questions 3, 5 and 6. Let me know if I can be of help to you. Little'; 'Zach Fusilier' Subject: Spring Valley Questions Guys Got a few questions for you regarding this bid: 1. On page SP-28 the water pipe is called out to be C-909 and on page SP-59 it’s said to be C-905. Which one of these is correct? Here is what our material supplier said about C-909: “It’s essentially C900 pipe. The only city around here that spec’d it was Addison and I don’t think they require it anymore. The manufacturer that made it was bought out by JM so I cannot purchase that pipe.” 2. On page SP-33 its says that concrete and asphalt is to be removed and recycled, but on page SP-43 & 46 it only calls for concrete/asphalt to be removed. I am assuming that you want all of this to be removed and recycled like the other projects, correct? If that is the case, can you please clarify to all bidders? 3. Can you please let all of the bidders know that the drinking fountain will have to be installed by a licensed plumber? 4. It appears as though we are to install paving on Bella Ln, but I cannot find a call out as to what type of paving it is, concrete, asphalt, etc…. 5. Please confirm that all irrigation is unit price and will be measured and paid per installed, even small pipe, etc.? 6. Is there a boring log for this project site? if not, can the boring logs for the adjacent school or projects be published by addenda? If I think of anything else in the next day, I will pass along to you. Thanks Andy Andrew D. Nord North Texas Contracting | Estimator 4999 Keller Haslet Rd.
