Josh, Please proceed. It is critical that we remain on schedule. Thanks, Clay Barnett, P.E. Town Engineer Town of Addison 16801 Westgrove Drive Addison, TX 75001-2818 Office: (972) 450-2857 From: Josh Hodsdon [mailto:josh@ntexcon.com] Sent: Wednesday, January 19, 2011 8:40 AM To: Clay Barnett; Nancy Cline; David Wilde; Jason Sutton Cc: 'Andy Nord' Subject: Water line shutdown cut and plug All, Just to confirm my conversation yesterday onsite and today with Dave and Jason. NTC will have a crew onsite beginning tomorrow morning at 7:00 am to expose the hydrant lateral and tee in preparation for the water line shut down at 10:00 am. It should take NTC approximately 2 hours to remove the lateral, dewater the hole and place the MJ plug so that the line can be put back into service. NTC will also be installing a 1-inch blow-off north of the tee for the release of air upon returning the line to service. Nancy, NTC needs to request the ability to price up the materials and time to remove this lateral from the ditch line for the duct bank. We can also include the relocation of the hydrant or we can price this up at a later time when we know the actual location of the hydrant and materials needed. Due to the timing of the removal, being tomorrow, can you authorize NTC to price this up based on a half day for a crew and equipment as well as fittings? If it will take any longer or requires any additional material I will be sure to discuss this with Dave onsite as well as you prior to any final billing for this work. Our goal is to minimize the downtime on this line and the impact to apartment complex. Please let me know if NTC can proceed as requested.
