Just let me know when you need us to look at a design. Thanks, ~Gordo From: David Wilde Sent: Friday, March 18, 2011 1:31 PM To: Gordon Robbins Cc: Michel Mitchell; Nancy Cline; Clay Barnett; Carmen Moran Subject: RE: Woodway at Spring Valley Thanks for the quick turn-around! Engineering will have to look at the minimum distance required from Spring Valley, and what would work best for the apartment parking spaces and access also. I am passing this on to Nancy and Clay for their expertise. I would think the apartment complex would have to be informed/involved at some point also. Thank you again for your timely input. David E. Please see attached photo and contact me if we need to work on it some more. Thank you, ~Gordo Gordon C. Would you like me to come to your office, or do you want to meet on-site? Is 9:00 too early? It should just take a few minutes. David E. I’m open tomorrow (Friday) in the morning. ~Gordon From: David Wilde Sent: Thursday, March 17, 2011 11:58 AM To: Gordon Robbins Cc: Nancy Cline; Carmen Moran Subject: Woodway at Spring Valley Chief Robbins, I would like to meet with you for a few minutes to discuss the referenced intersection and the “Fire Lane” entrance at the Wyndward Apts. that is adjacent to the intersection. The question to consider is whether or not it is possible to remove/eliminate the parking lot driveway on Spring Valley due to the very close proximity to Woodway. This proximity creates difficulties for vehicular and pedestrian traffic flow and street markings at this intersection now with the current work on Spring Valley, and in the plans for the future widening completion west to Marsh Lane. There is another access to this parking area further north on Woodway, and with minor modification, could provide additional parking spaces for the apartments. The fire hydrant is located nearer to this north entrance., and the fire lane continues around the complex to exit on Spring Valley further west. I would be happy to bring a set of plans and maps for you to look over, or we could meet on-site at your convenience in the very near future. There would probably need to be some PR with the apartment complex management also, but from an engineering standpoint, it is necessary to comply with current standards. Let me know when we can get together, and if you require anyone else to participate in this discussion. Thank you. David E.
