Carmen, Lynn, Clay, and Chief Robbins: Thank you again to you and your team for making the time to meet with us yesterday at 2:30 PM to discuss the Vitruvian Park Block 206 project. These progress coordination meetings have been invaluable to us and we greatly appreciate your willingness to make the time to meet with us on Tuesday afternoons when needed. I have summarized our discussions yesterday below in several bullet points just to make sure we are all on the same page moving forward and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any follow up questions or clarifications: · The design team plans to submit a “Permit Set” of drawings to the Town of Addison on 05/17/2011 for Vitruvian Park Block 206. · Mass grading on the site will likely begin on June 1st, and this work can proceed via a grading permit applied for through Clay Barnett (this permit can be pulled before drawings are submitted, so this work could even conceivably start before May 17th if that helps the project construction schedule). · For construction sequencing we would like to have a foundation permit in hand by July 1st at the latest, and the proposed six week turnaround time for a foundation permit was confirmed to be reasonable by Lynn Chandler. When we submit for permit it will be important to meet with Lynn Chandler to define the stages we would like to receive the permit in so he can prioritize his review. · Provided no major issues are identified in the code review of the project we might also have a full building permit released as soon as July 1st as well. · Fire fighter access to the south side of the building was discussed and Chief Robbins agreed that it would be reasonable to have the required fire fighter walking access around the south side of the building utilize the adjacent park and sidewalk as part of the path around the building (outside of the site’s south property line). This is necessitated by the zero setback on the park side of the site and the difficulty of accommodating a dedicated path on the property due to the building’s close proximity to the property line at the southwest corner. We look forward to submitting this project for permit next month! Sincerely, Evan L.
