Clay, Allow me to restate the intent of our discussion this morning. 1. The purpose of my meeting with Addison Fire Department was to review optimum locations for both the fire riser room and FDC. We prefer not looping the water line if there is a more logical solution. Toward that end, Chief Robbins suggested the northeast ( rear ) corner of the hangar "as an option" because it is the shortest distance from a direct water tap to west grove. We understand this direct tap precludes the need for a loop. This location would provide immediate outside access to the fire riser room. The FDC can be located anywhere around the perimeter walls or at a remote location advantageous to the Fire Department. 2. RAMP PAVING - Our Structural Engineer is reviewing the soils report along with pertinent aircraft load specifications. He has not made any recommendation to reduce the paving thickness. We have taken note of the FAA Advisory Circular for civil Airport paving guidelines and standards and expect to use them in the design of optional ramp paving specifications. We will submit our report for your review when complete.
