JC / Victor: I work for Garver, the engineer on behalf of Addison Airport, and we are currently in the design phase of the Taxiway Tango reconstruction project at Addison Airport. This taxiway reconstruction project is in close proximity to some of the Addison Airport toll tunnel infrastructure on the east side of the tunnel. Our current issue is the location of a monitoring well. I have attached a couple of pictures to show the monitoring well. The first attached picture is a shot facing east. You can see the monitoring well in the center of the picture next to the pavement and the tunnel entrance on the right side. The second picture is just a close up of the monitoring well. This monitoring well is currently within the Taxiway Safety Area. The FAA requirements for taxiway safety area state that all objects within the safety area must be aircraft rated and can’t be higher than 3 inches above grade. As you can see from the pictures this monitoring well doesn’t meet these requirements If you could provide information on the status of this monitoring well and what steps need to be taken to lower / relocate the well that would help us continue the design phase of our project. Thanks in advance for helping us resolve this issue. Thanks, Mitchell McAnally Project Engineer Office: 972-377-7480 Direct: 972-377-7480 E-mail: MRMcAnally@GarverUSA.com
