Road Change Order NO.7 Change Order NO.7 (attached) is to cover the cost of planting a "second row" of trees on DART Transit Center property along the Arapaho frontage. As background,
the streetscape concept along Arapaho Road is that there will be two rows of trees along the road. When the DART Transit Center project came along, their plans were ahead of ours as
far as streetscape was concerned, and the location of their second row oftrees relative to the trees in the sidewalk area could not be determined. As a result, a Interlocal Agreement

be furnished by the Town for installation by the contractor. The contractor shall be paid for installing the rotor heads as per Item No. 531 ofthe contract. We believe the price to upgrade
the controller from a 12 station to a 36 station is too high. Robert stated he was working with the subcontractor to reduce the price. I asked Robert to get the controller ordered, and

Mr. Pierce: We are in receipt of your April 8, 1999 regarding the revised price for the pre cast bollards. As stated in our phone conversation, we have discussed, with our bollard subcontractor,
the Town of Addison's offer to pay $100.00 per bollard for the extra work requested. Our bollard subcontractor has stated that he will lose money at that price. Additionally, our subcontractor
has stated that they can provide the recessed light fixture and chamfer edges for an additional cost of $200.00 per bollard. This additional money will allow our subcontractor to add
the extra work and break even on that item, forgoing the allowable profit and overhead on that item. It is my understanding that the extra cost will be generated to construct and demo
the interior form work on the main bollard mold that will be necessary for each bollard that is cast. With regard to pouring the paver base on the inside of the radius returns at the
Arapaho/Quorum intersection and blocking out for the bollards, we feel that the narrow section of paving behind the bollard and in front of the special sidewalk will fail ifthe paver
base was poured in that manner. Unless we are directed to proceed in that manner, we feel that the work at this intersection cannoi progress and lhat iime charges should stop because
ihe milestom; work has been delayed. In an effort to minimize this delay, we have directed our subcontractor to proceed with bollard fabrication. If you have any questions regarding

install the trees that are to be placed in DART's ROW along Arapaho Road prior to the completion ofthe Transit Center construction. As per our agreement, we have directed our contractor
to finish the irrigation and sodding of the area.in question so they may complete their work without delays. It is understood that you will install the trees at a later date and that
the Town ofAddison will be reSponsible for the restoration of the planting area to the conditions in whichyou receive it. It is also agreed, that any damages to the irrigation system or any other element of Transit Center facility that may occur during the installation of the trees will
be repaired, to DART's satisfaction, by the Town ofAddison. Should you disagree with the understanding stated above, please notifY me no later than April 30, 1999. The opening of the
Addison Transit Center is scheduled for June 7, 1999. Please schedule the tree installation not to interfere with the opening ceremony or its preparation. Should you need additional

reflective buttons instead of temporary lane striping to guide traffic through construction zones. The reasoning is that when the buttons are removed, there is less residual visual impact
as when temporary striping is removed (by sandblasting). Also, use of buttons requires less room than barrels and will provide a smother flow of traffic through tight work zones. Change
Order 4 is for the installation and removal of a single white button (edge lines) or a double row of yellow buttons (centerline marking) for $1.55 per linear foot. The quantity has been
estimated as 6,000LF for a cost of $9,300. We have more than enough money in the temporary striping item, which we do not now intend to use, to cover the cost (the temporary striping

( Dear Mr. Pierce: As you are aware an electrical sprinkler service operated by the Town ofAddison Parks Department was in conflict with the proposed roadway improvements near the intersection
of Arapaho Road and the Dallas North Tollway. This service was identified as being in conflict after it was cut by a piece ofequipment that was preparing subgrade for the proposed roadway.
It was our understanding that the Town ofAddison would pay for lowering this line utilizing existing pay items; however, upon careful examination, the contract doesn't contain the necessary
pay items. As a result, we propose paying for this work utilizing a lump sum pay item and adding that item to the next change order. Our price for this work is $6,061.72. I have enclosed

Dear Mr. Pierce: We are in receipt of your June 19, 1998 letter regarding the pea gravel fill located at the NE corner of the Arapaho Road and Addison Road intersection that needs to
be removed and replaced with an acceptable fill material. Based upon the information contained in that letter, we have revised our price accordingly. It is our understanding that all
of the pea gravel can be disposed of on site; therefore, we have adjusted the amount of trucking necessary to dispose of the material and changed the type of trucks from trailers to
tandems to accommodate the on site haul. Our revised price for removal and replacement of the pea gravel is $9.58 per CY. I have enclosed our price justification sheets for your review.
The method for determining the actual quantity of work performed proposed in your letter is our preferred method of measurement given the uncertain size of the former tankhold. Please

backfill ofthe former tankhold that was encountered by Lone Star Gas (while they were relocating their gas main) at the former 7-11 store at the N.E. comer ofArapaho Road and Addison
Road. I believe the area ofthe tankhold is about 36'x 48' is size. Other patches in the area are for the former fuel island, and where the fuel lines ran between the tanks and the fuel
island. I believe the former tankhold is our only concern, I calculate the volume of the tankhold to be about 600 cubic yards (compacted)-the gas main is about 8' deep and we would not
go deeper than that. Fill would be compacted as per the job specs and placed up to the top elevation of the base course. The onsite material should be suitable for backfill, The pea
gravel can be stockpiled on the transit center site, so t!fat should greatly shorten the haul for this material We do not expect to have to test the pea,gravel material, as all indications
are that it is clean, I would propose we determine the pay quantity based upon the volume of backfill material placed as determined by the volume ofthe delivery trucks and number of

of Addison Dear Mr. Pierce: It is our understanding that the pea gravel fill that Lone Star Gas discovered at the NE comer of the Arapaho Road and Addison Road intersection will need
to be removed and replaced with an acceptable fill materiaL Based upon the location of the concrete patch in the old parking lot, it appears that the area in question could be as large
as 150 feet long by 55 feet wide and 10 feet deep. We have assumed that we can utilize on site material as fill and that the pea gravel isn't contaminated and can be discarded without
any special provisions for handling contaminated material. Additionally, we have assumed, based upon the the July 31, 1995 letter from the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission
regarding this site, that no contaminated material will be encountered and that any testing for contaminated material will be handled by the Town of Addison, Based upon the previously
mentioned assumptions, our price for removal and replacement of approximately 3000 Cy of pea gravel with on site fill is $11.15 per CY. I have enclosed our price justification sheets
for your review. Prior to commencement of this work, both EBCC and the Town of Addison will need to determine the actual limits of the work and the quantity for payment. Based upon current
projections, we intend to begin phase 1 concrete removals during the week of June 15, 1998 and should begin building grade for lime stabilization in early July 1998. Please inform our
