Message Steve, Attached is a copy of our revised crosswalk and stop bar layout for the Marsh-Arapaho intersection on the Arapaho Road Phase IT project for your revi.ew. Without the raised island on th.e southeast comer of Marsh. and Arapaho, we felt that it would be necessary to revise the C.rosswalks. Please note th.e following: 1. The crosswalk and stop bar across Arapaho (on the west side of Marsh) is sh.own for reference only -it is not proposed in th.e striping plans. 2. Rather than put two handicap ramps on the northeast and south.east comer, we proposed one large handicap ramp. Jf there were two ramps, they would need to be located close together, which would cause the proposed curb to rise then fall between the ramps, which may be undesirable. 3. The width of th.e handicap ramp on the northeast comer is 4' (and not 5'), due to ROW limitations. The signa! pole would need to be located behind this sidewalk. 4. The crosswalk across Marsh (on the north side of Arapaho) does not tie into a handicap ramp on the west side. Please let me kn.ow if you have any comments on this design.
